Windy Ridge Shepherds is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Our goal is to produce the finest Show and Working dogs in the world. Our program strives for excellence in temperament, structure, and natural beauty The real beauty of these dogs surpasses their physical appearance, and can only truly be seen when watching them perform in one of their many areas of expertise. Our innovative program is enhanced by our ongoing study of modern genetics, to achieve the greatest possible physical specimen. The results are puppies with superior minds and bodies that are loyal and very strong in character. They are versatile as dog sports competitors, family guardians, police dogs and much more. Each puppy is raised in a very stimulating atmosphere. They are exposed to different surfaces, noises, kids, dogs and a variety of other new experiences.
Our dogs are raised in a very unique small kennel environment. We feed primarily raw food, holistic dry food and whole food supplements. We only do a limited amount of vaccines. Raw whole foods are what our dogs are designed to eat. Raw foods are full of enzymes, protein, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. Most raw feeders report healthier dogs, full of energy and vitality. There are less illnesses, clean white teeth and fresh breath. Visits to the vet for skin and ear infections and dental cleaning become a thing of the past. We see less year around shedding in our dogs, increased muscle tone and stamina and more mental and physical fitness. Just like us, dogs don’t need all those artificial flavors, sugar and preservatives that many kibbles include in their ingredient list.
